RedefySG is the Singapore chapter of Redefy, an international youth social justice organization. We raise awareness of social issues through journalistic articles and social media to inspire and empower youth into action.

Meet The Team
Nasira, President
Nasira is a friendly, extroverted 18-year old who is currently a JC2 student in NUS High. Through her work in redefy, she hopes to kickstart action and conversations about key issues in the community such as racism and domestic violence. From her involvement in local non-profits such as Heartware Network to international ones such as redefy and zenerations, she aims to make this world a better place by removing barriers for underprivileged communities, and by making social education more accessible to Genz.
In her free time, she loves binging shows on Netflix (her favourite show is currently only murders in the building), sipping boba and coming up with marvel theories!
Karenin, Vice-President
A girl on a canoe, rowing against the waves. An apt description of Karenin’s inner landscape. We live in an age abound with uncertainty and cruelty, and sometimes only through writing can we achieve progress in highlighting certain states of society. Karenin aspires to shine a torch on pertinent issues that may otherwise be overlooked, despite challenges posed by her busy work schedule.
As a leader, she places an emphasis on communication and empathy. New challenges are often an excitement for her, and she looks forward to working with our new team members who will soon be joining us!
Rakshita, Director of Journalism
Rakshita is the Director of Journalism. She does freelance writing in her spare time for decentralised autonomous organisations (DAOs), and is a section editor at ASEAN Youth Journal, as well as a senior writer at Law Insider (.org). She loves to share her two cents on her personal blog, kumizh. Invested in learning new skills, she designed this website, looking forward to improve her aesthetic palette!
Varshini, Director of Social Media
Varshini is a chill and slightly extroverted individual who loves a good book. She's up to watch a movie at any time of the day and loves exploring new kinds of food. She’s a staff writer at weredefyI and the director of Publicity at Project Mahalo her free time, you can find her humming to random songs and cracking jokes with her friends
Phylicia, Director of Web Design
Phylicia is the head of the web design committee, and co-head of our flagship project, Project Pallas. In her free time, she loves to watch movies that explore the human condition, or binge watch shows steeped in pop culture. During her time here, she has made many friends and enjoys working with them on new ideas.
Davina, Director of Editorial
If you’ve written a story or essay that you’d love to share, Davina would love to read it; reading and writing are probably her favourite things to do – that, and losing on chess.com at blitz – which explains why she finds Redefy’s Editorial Board a pretty nice place to be. On weekends she spends her time tutoring the sweetest kids and loading them up with candy (bribery, essentially, but don’t tell them that), and writing mini-essays on whatever has her interest at the moment. Feel free to hit her up if you’d like to bounce a story idea or introspective musing off of someone.
